Sarah, 9, tried tennis a year ago and started playing again this year, gaining a real love for the sport and training once a week and playing socially on a Friday afternoon. Her goal is to compete at a state level and against other wheelies.
Sarah was born with Spina Bifida and tried tennis a year ago and started playing again this year, gaining a real love for the sport and training once a week and playing socially on a Friday afternoon.
She first tried tennis at a come and try session at the Spina Bifida mobility clinic with Andrew Ash.
Sarah’s goal is to play against other wheelies and compete at state level.
Sarah is receiving a development grant from sporting dreams to help her attend her first competition within the next 12 months.
Her advice to other athletes is to find a way, have a go and enjoy every sport you are exposed to.
