Grade nine student, Nathan, was introduced to wheelchair racing at his athletics club by silver and bronze medal Paralympic racing champion, Rheed McCracken. After playing soccer as a young boy and running in little athletics, Nathan realised that he had the potential to go very far with wheelchair racing. With a new-found confidence after qualifying for Queensland State Finals at just thirteen years of age, Nathan has been achieving personal bests ever since.

Born with cerebral palsy, Nathan not only aspires to represent his country in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, but would also like to become an ambassador for his sport by encouraging others to have a go, as well as increasing the profile for the sport.
