Kirsten LindemannKirsten, 23, lives in Wamuran and took up boccia after her best friend came across it when searching for activities for them to get involved in. Since then, she has competed in the 2014 Boccia State Championships,  finishing second in the BC3 classification, and represented Queensland at the national championships.

Her goal is to win the BC3 state champion title and medal at the nationals. Kirsten was born with a rare genetic condition called Aicardi Goutieres Syndrome, meaning she has very little independent movement, but she also has participated in wheelchair dancing and her advice to others is “have a go – you don’t know what you can do until you try!”
