Finding a natural gift for discus at her daughter’s little athletics, Cheryl holds the national records for discus, shot put and javelin, and has even represented Australia for volleyball in China. Cheryl puts in a lot of time spending time with and encouraging para students to try out a sport, even taking teams to state titles in athletics and ten pin bowling.

Affected by the poliovirus at two and a half and a right-below-knee amputee, Cheryl is currently aiming to compete in the 2017 Australian Masters Games in Tasmania, followed by the 2017 World Masters in Auckland.
