Reaching for the stars, Annette has competed in many competitions for her sport of lawn bowls; even representing Queensland in the state singles in 2015. After watching a lot of games played by her parents, Annette gave it a try and hasn’t looked back. After a stroke during childbirth, Annette found confidence in competing in lawn bowls and finds participating the most rewarding feeling.

Annette is a busy woman; juggling home life, lawn bowls, being an assistant finance officer for the ladies section of her club, assistant games and match committee officer for Bundaberg District Ladies Association, and junior coach for the kids at her club. Her partner even jokingly calls himself a bowls widow as Annette puts so much of her love and time into lawn bowls, but at the same time is extremely proud of her achievements and the passion she puts into her sport.
