Jason’s previous achievements in Boccia include being selected in the Paralympic Preparation program, attending Road to Rio Camps, selected to play for Queensland, named 2013 Qld State Titles most outstanding player, 2013 National Titles Bronze Team event and 2013 National Titles referee award for sportsmanship.

Jason was born with Cerebral Palsy, however he strives to continue to succeed with short term goals over the next Boccia season is to win his first state championship title or to win a national championship. His long-term goal is to represent his country by helping Australia qualify for the next Paralympics in Rio.

Jason has only been involved in Boccia for a little over a year now, so being selected in the Paralympic Preparation Program and recently, being selected in the starting team for his first international competition, the Australian Oceania Boccia Championships in October, have been his greatest sporting achievements.

His motto is a quote from his favourite boxer, Floyd Mayweather, HARD WORK DEDICATION.

The advice he would give to other athletes would be that confidence is the key to succeeding. Confidence plays an important part of the framework of success.
