Kelly's photoKelly, 15, competes in the T44 classification and continues to improve her personal best at each competition. She won the 100m and 200m events at the state titles, and won the 200m gold at the nationals and silver in the 100m. A state record holder, she has her sights set on breaking national records and competing for Australia at the Paralympics. Kelly, from Albany Creek, is a single leg amputee following a bus accident when she was nine. Her greatest sporting achievement to date is being selected in the Queensland Athletics “A” squad, which is made up of Australia’s top eight. Her motto is “Never give up, encourage others and do your best.”
